How to utilize new approaches to job hunting beyond just sending out resumes, specifically social networking

Good Samaritan Project Receives Service Grant from Heartland Coaches Group acknowledges International Coaching Week by contributing coaching services to Good Samaritan Project’s Leadership Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Good Samaritan Project (GSP) recently received a $5,000 service grant
from Heartland Coaches, the Kansas City chapter of the International Coach Federation. The
contribution is to acknowledge International Coaching Week, which this year is Feb. 3-9.
The coaching sessions will begin with a consultation between Chuck Franks, President
of Heartland Coaches, and GSP’s management team. Once the organization’s needs have been
assessed, the coaching services will be implemented accordingly.
“We recently completed a strategic plan, which will be executed throughout the next
several years, so the timing of this grant couldn’t be better. This training should really help us get
off to a good start,” explained David Schlomer, GSP’s Executive Director.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of International Coaching Week. What began as a
national event by Jerri Udelson, Master Certifi ed Coach, is today recognized around the globe.
Other events include free personal coaching sessions, informational meetings and workshops.

Founded in 1985, Good Samaritan Project is Kansas City’s oldest and more
comprehensive AIDS service organization. Services include case management, emergency
financial assistance, transportation, counseling services, spiritual and social support, back-towork
assistance, HIV testing and prevention education.
Heartland Coaches Association becomes International Coach Federation's ICF newest Chartered Chapter. After a year of hard work the Heartland Coaches have achieved their goal of becoming a Chartered Chapter with ICF.
